Building is only a few years old. Other owners and tenants of the building are predominately Paisas (residents of Medellin) who also enjoy this centrally located, non-touristy neighborhood close to everything, but situated on a very convenient, pedestrian-only street with the new state of the art Tram Line (Tranvia).Getting around
Centro is the heart and downtown of Medellin and is centrally located, only 2 miles east of Laureles and 4 miles north of Poblado. Immediate neighborhood is primarily mid-to-high rise apartment and commercial and institutional buildings.
Area is quickly redeveloping because of the new electric Tranvia or Tram which connects to the Metro, MetroCable, Metro plus and major bus-lines. It is close to all the most popular shopping areas of Medellin known as the Hueco and Carabobo, which are known to have the lowest prices in the region, so it is full of shoppers from all over Antioquia.
The actual address will be provided once you are booked. In the meantime, the location is very close to the intersection of Calle 49 (Ayacucho) and Carrera 40, 1/2 block south of the Placita de Florez. Ayacucho is pedestrian-only with the Tram running down the middle. We are happy to arrange airport transportation for you at a rate comparable to a taxi.
You are located at the centre of Medellin, so you are close to all sites within the Aburra Valley.
You have immediate access to the new Tram (Tranvia) which connects you to the Metro from which you can explore parts in all directions N, S, E and W. There are bus lines 1/4 mile away, bike path 1/2 block, taxis 1/4 block.
